Endurance now has Vibram fivefinger shoes in stock.  If you’re cool enough to wear them, you have to say it correctly–it’s VEE-brum.  We have several colors for men and women and more colors and styles on the way.  Use these shoes to help strengthen your feet muscles, encourage a forefoot strike, lengthen the achillies tendon and keep from burning your bare feet on the hot pavement.  Better than barefoot, for sure.

Also, K-Swiss’ new race shoe, the Blade, is in stock.  We have both the Race (velcro closure) and Run (traditional laces) models.  These are selling very quickly so get in soon to check them out.  This is a very light but still cushioned race shoe that is drained to keep the shoe from getting too soggy.  The “blade” technology givens them a moe cushioned feel than you would expect from such a minimal shoe and has fantastic ride characteristics.  Supportive enough for lighter, more experienced runners to use as a lightweight trainer.

The new Garmin 110 watch is in the store, also.  This is a GPS watch that looks like a regular watch instead of like you have a laptop strapped to your wrist.  It has the features and functions that most runners really want and use without the complexity of other GPS watches.  Use it to see your pace, how far you’ve gone, how many calories you burned.  You can download the workout data and see your route, elevation change, etc.  Heart Rate chest strap can be added later or use any ant+ chest strap that you may already have.  At under $200, this is really a nice and useful training item.

2011 bicycles from Scott and Ceepo are on the way to the shop and should arrive within the next two weeks.  The new Scott line looks spectacular!  Experienced road cyclists will have to see the new Scott Addict R15.  The frame that Mark Cavendish of Team HTC-Columbia uses to win pro sprints by a mile, a full SRAM RED component group, Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheelset and the smoking price of only $4400!  This is a sub 15 pound bike!  I will put this bike up against any other brand’s $5000-$6000 bikes without hesitation.
